BOMBAY — An Akwesasne woman was charged Feb. 24 with criminal possession of a controlled substance.
St. Regis Mohawk Tribal Police stopped a vehicle driven by Michelle A. David, 28, of Akwesasne.
A Tribal Police K9 found a plastic bag containing cocaine and David was charged with fifth-degree possession of a controlled substance, a felony, and second-degree criminally using drug paraphernalia, a misdemeanor, Tribal Police said in a news release.
David was arraigned in Bombay Town Court and was sent to Franklin County Jail in lieu of $500 cash or $1,000 bond.
