PLATTSBURGH — A Plattsburgh man was charged with criminal contempt Feb. 8.
Tanner J. Crowningshield, 21, pinned his girlfriend down on a bed at a residence on Cherry Street in Plattsburgh and struck her face with a closed fist, State Police said.
The incident was reported at 4:48 a.m. on Feb. 8 and police found Crowningshield at a residence on Evergreen Street in Plattsburgh, police said.
He had allegedly purchased alcohol and given it to his girlfriend, who is younger than 21, police said.
Crowningshield was charged with first-degree criminal contempt, a felony; third-degree assault, a misdemeanor; second-degree unlawful imprisonment, a misdemeanor, and unlawfully dealing with a child, a misdemeanor.
He was arraigned in Peru Town Court and taken to Clinton County Jail in lieu of $10,000 cash or $20,000 bond.
