Police Log: Oct. 5, 2008 - Felony arrest



PLATTSBURGH — Allegedly driving drunk for the second time in 10 years has landed a Morrisonville woman felony charges.

According to Plattsburgh-based State Police records, Becki Hanchette was stopped on U.S. Avenue in Plattsburgh around 3 a.m. Saturday when troopers allegedly found her to be driving drunk.

Because of her previous DWI conviction, the 32-year-old was charged with felony counts of driving while intoxicated and first-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle.

She was also cited for a traffic violation.

Hanchette was released from custody on an appearance ticket and will face the charges in court at a later date.
