AUSABLE -- A Peru man was arrested Friday night after State Police allegedly found him intoxicated, carrying drugs and wandering down a local roadway.
John M. King was picked up on the Telegraph Road around 9:30 p.m. when he was allegedly found with an assortment of drugs, including hallucinogetic mushrooms and ecstasy.
The 28-year-old was arrested on a felony charge of fourth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and a misdemeanor count of seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance.
He was also charged with unlawful possession of marijuana and disorderly conduct.
After his arrest, King was sent to the Clinton County Jail, but was released after posting bail.
