PERSONAL-INJURY ACCIDENTS
PLATTSBURGH -- A local woman was treated for minor injuries after she was hit by a car Monday afternoon.
Plattsburgh City Police said Terumi Komatsy, 21, of Plattsburgh was walking through the Cornelia and Broad street intersection around 5:15 p.m. when she was hit by a car being driven by Tashara Defayette, 29, of Plattsburgh.
Komatsy, who was walking in the crosswalk when she was hit, suffered a hip abrasion in the accident and was taken to CVPH Medical Center, where she was later treated and released.
Defayette was ticketed for failing to yield the right of way to a pedestrian.
