Case heard before Judge Richard Meyer:
Richard E. Goyette, 19, of Keeseville was convicted of two counts of felony fourth-degree grand larceny and sentenced to one and one-third to four years in state prison on each charge, with the sentences to run concurrently. He must pay $320 in fees and surcharges and restitution of $10,000 for two vehicles that he stole, which were damaged while he was driving. Meyer recommended that Goyette be allowed to participate in the state's shock-incarceration program. If he successfully completes the program, he would be released on parole in six months.
