PLATTSBURGH -- A Plattsburgh man was injured in a two-car accident Monday afternoon.
According to City Police, a vehicle driven by Brett Long, 21, of Plattsburgh was heading west on Cornelia Street when it struck the rear of a vehicle driven by Jonathan Deming, 48, of Keeseville near Prospect Avenue.
Police said the vehicle driven by Deming started moving west when the light turned green and Long was behind it.
The traffic then stopped, but Long did not see the traffic stop because he was blinded by the sun, police said.
Long suffered a burn to his elbow and hand. He was taken to CVPH Medical Center where he was treated and released.
Long was ticketed for following too closely.
