PLATTSBURGH -- A local man will be serving three years probation for threatening to stab and kill his ex-girlfriend.
Heath Brothers had been facing five charges, including menacing and attempted assault, in connection with the early December attack inside his South Catherine Street apartment where he drunkenly grabbed a woman by the throat and threatened to stab her.
But when the 22-year-old returned to Plattsburgh City Court earlier this week, he pleaded guilty to third-degree menacing and fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon in satisfaction of the charges.
Brothers, who was represented by attorney Michael Hartnett, was ordered to serve three years probation and pay a $160 court surcharge.
