PLATTSBURGH -- A young motorcyclist is listed in good condition after his bike slammed into another vehicle Thursday evening.
Jeremy Lewis was going for a leisurely ride with a group of friends Thursday evening when his bike crashed into the back of a stopped truck.
The 21-year-old Westport man was allegedly speeding down Route 9 around 6 p.m. and was unable to stop behind Brenna Miller's truck.
State Police said Miller, 22, of Plattsburgh was stopped to make a left turn onto Plattsburgh Avenue when Lewis crashed into the back of her truck.
Lewis suffered a range of injuries during the crash and was transported to CVPH Medical Center shortly after the accident.
He was later transferred to Fletcher Allen Health Care in Burlington, where he was listed in good condition Friday afternoon.
Police said Lewis was following the truck too closely at the time of the accident.
Officials also believe excessive speed was a factor.
The accident is still being investigated and no tickets had been issued as of Friday morning.
