Police Log: May 1, 2008 - Personal-injury accident



PLATTSBURGH -- Plattsburgh City Police are investigating an accident that occurred Tuesday afternoon.

A car was involved in an accident on South Peru Street about 4:15 p.m. and ended up lodged against a chain-link fence on the east side of the street.

Traffic was rerouted over Byrne Avenue and across U.S. Oval back to the roundabout while an ambulance and trucks cleared the site.

City Police said Wednesday that no information will be available until the officer who investigated the accident returns to work on Friday.
