TICONDEROGA -- A Nebraska man was injured Wednesday morning when his tractor trailer toppled into a ditch off the Fort Ticonderoga Ferry Road.
Ticonderoga Town Police said Cliferio Delgadillo was driving a big rig filled with butter around 10 a.m. when he took a wrong turn during his route to Vermont.
After he turned around on the Ferry Road, police said, Delgadillo veered off the road, which caused the loaded tractor trailer to crash into the ditch.
Police said the 32-year-old driver suffered several cracked ribs when the tractor trailer fell onto its side, but was able to climb out and contact authorities.
He was transported to Moses-Ludington Hospital, where he was treated and later released.
Police said Delgadillo was ticketed for a log-book violation and unsafe lane change.
The Ferry Road remained blocked to traffic for several hours as officials waited for another tractor trailer to pick up the butter supply so crews could get the overturned rig back on the road.
