PERSONAL INJURY ACCIDENT
DANNEMORA -- A woman was injured in a one-car accident Saturday.
Plattsburgh-based State Police reported Bobbie Jo Stailey, 33, of Cadyville was driving north on Plank Road near Route 374 in the Town of Dannemora at about 10:20 a.m. Saturday. She reportedly lost control on the ice-covered road as she rounded a curve.
The vehicle crossed into the southbound lane and ran through a mailbox at the home of Steven Dubray before it continued on and crashed into a snow and ice embankment.
Stailey suffered a head injury with minor bleeding. She was transported to CVPH Medical Center, where she was treated and then released that afternoon.
Stailey was ticketed for failure to reduce speed for conditions. A passenger, Darin Stailey, 31, was not injured.
FELONY ARRESTS
TUPPER LAKE -- A Tupper Lake man was charged with felony driving while intoxicated early Sunday morning.
Tupper Lake-based State Police reported Scott Lizotte, 29, was pulled over on McLaughlin Avenue because a brake light wasn't working. He was later determined to be intoxicated and police reported he registered 1.5 on a breath test.
Police reported Lizotte had been stopped for driving while intoxicated twice in the last 10 years. One charge was later reduced, but the other was not, police said.
Lizotte was initially arraigned before Tupper Lake Town Justice Leonard Young III, police said, but was released to the custody of his family because he was still intoxicated. Lizotte was scheduled to be arraigned at noon Sunday, but the results of that arraignment were not known.
TUPPER LAKE -- A Ray Brook man was charged with two felonies after he was pulled over in the Village of Tupper Lake early Saturday morning.
Tupper Lake-based State Police reported Kyle Golden, 21, was pulled over on Oak Street at about 3:45 a.m. for failure to keep right. Police said he was determined to be intoxicated and was charged with felony driving while intoxicated because of a previous DWI conviction in September 2007.
Golden was also charged with aggravated unlawful operation of a motor vehicle because his license was suspended due to his previous conviction. He was arraigned before Tupper Lake Village Justice Michael Demars and remanded to Franklin County Jail in lieu of $2,500 cash/$5,000 bond.
Golden is scheduled to reappear in Tupper Lake Village Court on April 14.
