BEEKMANTOWN -- Tabatha Lee Magoon and Steven Michael Giddings were married May 22, 2008, on the beach at Point au Roche State Park by Judge Joseph Marcil, retired. The mothers of the bride and bridegroom, Sandra Seymour and Donna Snow, stood as witnesses for the couple.

The bride is the daughter of Sandra Seymour and Robert Charland of Seymour Road, West Chazy. The bridegroom is the son of Michael and Donna Snow of Pleasant Street, Keeseville.

Tabatha Giddings graduated from Beekmantown Central School in 2004. She is employed at A. Schonbek & Co.

Steven Giddings graduated from AuSable Valley Central School in 2000. He is a correctional officer in the state of Vermont.

Steven and Tabatha eloped and surprised their parents and closest family members with the small private wedding on the beach. They chose May 22 to get married to honor the bride's deceased grandmother's birthday.

A trip to Old Orchard Beach in late July has been planned and a reception at the Keeseville VFW is planned for Oct. 4.

The couple resides on O'Neil Road in West Chazy.
