KEESEVILLE -- Lawrence and Glenna Liberty of 640 Pleasant St., Peru, celebrated their 50th anniversary July 13, 2008. An anniversary party was given at the Knights of Columbus in Keeseville by their children, Skip and Charlene Liberty of Peru; Lorrie and Wayne Duval and Melody and Tracy Stevens, all of Plattsburgh; and Susan and Walter Blahut, sister and brother-in-law of the bride. Music was by Dale Lashway and band. Out-of-town guests were Nancy Goss, sister of the bridegroom; and Michelle Vernetti, her daughter; and granddaughter, Jamie, of Walton. The cake was made by Melody Stevens.

Lawrence Daniel Liberty and Glenna Myra Beshaw were married July 12, 1958, in St. Peter's, Plattsburgh, by the Rev. Arthur Pardy. Their wedding attendants were Judith Fuller and Gilbert Liberty, brother of the bridegroom.

Lawrence retired from Larry's Oil and is employed at Town of Chesterfield. Glenna is retired from CVPH Medical Center.

The couple has nine grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
