PLATTSBURGH -- Gerald H. and Ruth L. Dominy of 21 Lozier Place, Plattsburgh, celebrated their 60th anniversary with a special dinner with their children and grandchildren.

Gerald H. Dominy and Ruth L. Williams were married July 3, 1948, in Fort Miller Reformed Church, Fort Miller.

Gerald and Ruth are members of the First Baptist Church of Plattsburgh. Gerald retired from Plattsburgh State, Physical Plant, in 1989. He has served as the district deputy, Masonic Lodge, West Chazy, and as the past president, Rotary Club, Plattsburgh. Ruth retired from Beekmantown Central School in 1981, where she was a home-economics teacher, and was active with the Ecumenical Food Shelf, Plattsburgh.

Their children are Esther of Plattsburgh, Martha of Malden, Mass., Allan and Joni of Fayetteville. A daughter, Laura, died in 2005. They have two grandchildren.
