PERU -- Donald and Marjorie Minckler Sr. of Plattsburgh celebrated their 50th anniversary on Jan. 26, 2008, at a party at VFW Post 309, Peru. The party was given by their children.
Donald and Marjorie were married on Jan. 25, 1958, in Dannemora by the Rev. Phalon. Their wedding attendants were Gerald Seguin and Louise Welch.
Their children are: Mrs. Donald (Lorinda) Minckler Jr. of Cadyville, Sara and Ricky Cornish of Plattsburgh, Lilly and Bruce LaPier of Plattsburgh, Sally and Wayne Terpstra Sr. of Plattsburgh and Frederick (Bo) and Heidi Minckler Sr. of Altona. They have 12 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. A son, Donald Jr. (Bunny), died earlier.
Donald and Marjorie are enjoying their retirement. They also enjoy spending time with their family.
