PLATTSBURGH — Julie Ross of Plattsburgh and Michael Ross of Plattsburgh announce the engagement of their daughter, Leigh E. Ross, to Perry A. Mitchell, son of Linda Mitchell of Payson, Utah, and Lee Mitchell of Springville, Utah.

Leigh Ross is the granddaughter of Philip and Shirley Gordon of Plattsburgh, and the late Harold and Theresa Ross of Ogdensburg. She graduated from Plattsburgh High School in 1998, Plattsburgh State in 2002, and Alliant University, Fresno, Calif., in 2007. She is a psychologist with the Capital District Psychiatric Center in Albany.

Perry Mitchell served in the U.S. Navy as an aircraft hydraulic specialist. He received an honorable discharge in 2005 and graduated from Cuesta College, San Luis Obispo, Calif., in 2007. He is employed with Capital Framing in Albany, and is pursuing a degree in chemistry.

A Sept. 24, 2010, wedding in Saratoga Springs is planned.
