LAKE PLACID — Michelle Ann Tolosky and Peter John Whitbeck were married at 1 p.m. Feb. 9, 2013, at Saint Agnes Catholic Church, Lake Placid, by Rev. John R. Yonkovig.
The bride is the daughter of Stephen J. and Noreen Tolosky of Plattsburgh. The bridegroom is the son of Peter A. and Nancy Whitbeck of Plattsburgh.
Micki Flynn of Hudson, Wisc., best friend of the bride, was matron of honor. Adam Whitbeck, brother of the groom, was best man.
Bridesmaids were sisters of the bride, Cathy Cashman of Starksboro, Vt., and Amy Whitbeck of Plattsburgh; and sister of the groom, Kristen Whitbeck of Saint-Anne-de-Bellevue, Quebec. Kaylin Whitbeck, niece of the bride and groom, was flower girl.
Groomsmen were Tom Gardner of Cortlandt Manor, N.Y., and Bryan Magnus of Maplewood, N.J.
The bride was escorted by her father, Stephen J. Tolosky. Reader was the bride's uncle and godfather, Mark R. Tolosky. A reception was held at The Lake Placid Club. Music was provided by TS Ensemble of the Capital District. Wedding planner was Joshua Kretser, P.O.D. Studio of Plattsburgh
Michelle Whitbeck graduated from Plattsburgh High School in 1994, University of Maine at Orono with a bachelor of arts degree, Plattsburgh State with a master of arts degree, and Saint Michaels College with a certificate of advanced graduate study in special education. She is employed as a special education teacher for Plattsburgh City School District.
Peter Whitbeck graduated from Plattsburgh High School in 1993 and from Bryant College with a bachelor of science degree in business administration. He is the vice president of operations at Coldwell Banker Whitbeck Associates, located in both Plattsburgh and Lake Placid.
After a honeymoon trip to Sandals Emerald Bay Great Exuma, Bahamas, the couple resides in Plattsburgh.
