— WEST CHAZY -- Paul and Elizabeth West of 58 Beartown Road, West Chazy, announce the engagement of their daughter, Amy, of 13 White St., Staatsburg, to Zachary Thomas Martin, also of Staatsburg. He is the son of Dennis and Joy Martin of 2808 Hidden Grove Lane, Schertz, Texas, formerly of Schroon Lake.
Amy West graduated from Chazy Central Rural School in 1998; Crane School of Music - SUNY Potsdam, in 2002 with a Bachelor of Music degree, music education major; and Plattsburgh State in 2004 with a Master of Science degree in education. She is employed by the Hyde Park Central School District as a choral music teacher.
Zachary Martin graduated from Schroon Lake Central School in 2000 and attended Plattsburgh State, majoring in communication. He is employed by Hudson Valley Outfitters in Cold Spring.
An Oct. 11 wedding has been planned.
