— WEST CHAZY -- Harlan and Denise Hebert of West Chazy announce the engagement of their daughter, Susan, of Virginia Beach, Va., to Adam Fischer, also of Virginia Beach, son of Ray and Lynne Fischer of Sheridan, Mont.
Susan Hebert graduated from Beekmantown Central in 1998 and Plattsburgh State in 2002 with a bachelor's degree in criminal justice and sociology. She is a lieutenant in the U.S. Coast Guard and stationed at the Naval Air Station Oceana in Virginia Beach.
Adam Fischer served for four years in the U.S. Navy. He is employed at Gieco Insurance Company and attending Tidewater College.
An Oct. 18 wedding has been planned.
