CROWN POINT -- Mary M. DeHart of Harrisville and Donald H. Ross of Crown Point announce their engagement.
Mary DeHart recently retired after 36 years as Diana town and village justice. She was employed at Fort Drum military base as a family housing manager and also manager of the Senior Citizen Housing in Harrisville for 20 years. During this time, she was secretary-treasurer of the Board of Directors. She was listed in Who's Who of Professional Management, being COSF certified, licensed general insurance agent, including A&H and life, real estate agent and notary.
Donald Ross retired from Viking Engineering & Development, Inc., where he was a pilot and later represented the company in traveling all over the United States and around the world, in Australia, Canada, Hawaii and other countries. He was a pilot in the U.S. Navy in World War II and flew in the Berlin Air Lift. After his discharge, he and his wife, Marie, owned and operated a milk dairy business, Ross Dairy. Later, he started a small lumber business.
The couple will be married Aug. 9, 2008, in Harrisville and will reside at 370 Sam Curran Road, Crown Point, and in Seminole, Fla.
