— LANEVIEW, Va. -- Robert P. Carter of Laneview, Va., announces the engagement of his daughter, Amy, of Nanuet, to Nicholas Joseph Janetti, also of Nanuet, son of Joseph J. and Christine Janetti of Plattsburgh.
Amy Carter is the daughter of the late Faye E. Carter and granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. P. Emery and the late Mr. and Mrs. Robert Carter. She is a 2001 graduate of James Madison University.
Nicholas is the grandson of Stephen A. Morrissey and the late Claire L. Morrissey and Nicholas J. and Marie Janetti. He graduated in 2002 from the U.S. Military Academy at West Point.
An Oct. 18 wedding has been planned.
