Bill Hathaway and his wife of 44 years, Connie, opened Cue Club in October 2011. At that time, they offered pool and had a license to sell beer and wine.

”We saw the potential here was tremendous, so we decided to expand,” he said.

New bar a plus

They have obtained a full liquor license and have installed a beautiful hardwood bar.

”That brings in a  lot more people,” Hathaway said.

He said the bar was crafted by Jason Gardner, a talented local carpenter who also helps run the club.

Cue Club features six nine-foot Olhausen pool tables. Hathaway said he designed those himself, after which Olhausen built them for him.

Before they were put in the club, the tables were used in the 2011 Straight Pool Championships in New Jersey, which was televised on ESPN.

”These are top-of-the-line professional tables,” he said.

There is also one smaller table like those found in your local tavern.

The VIP room features a “waterfall” table, named for the unique shape of its support system. The secluded corner of the club is perfect for private parties and special events, Hathaway said.

People can even rent out the entire club, Hathaway said.

Other activities offered

The club now also offers darts, foosball and a Golden Tee video game. Patrons can enjoy viewing any of the five flatscreen televisions scattered throughout the club.

Music comes from a TouchTunes jukebox.

Cue Club has eight-ball, nine-ball and straight-pool leagues. It also has two dart teams playing in the Valley Vending dart leagues.
