Fall foliage reports available soon

ALBANY — The New York tourism industry is getting ready for the autumn travel season, which attracts tens of thousands of visitors each year.

New York’s team of foliage observers are getting ready to swing into action, gathering information for I Love New York’s weekly reports.

The color reports will begin Wednesday, Sept. 11, continue until the end of the foliage season, around the first week in November.

The foliage report, a detailed map charting fall color progress, vantage points for viewing, suggested autumn getaways and weekly event listings are available on the website

Reports are also available by dialing, toll-free, 800/CALL-NYS (800/225-5697) from anywhere in the United States and Canada.
