Allegiant to offer non-stop flights to Vegas

(Continued)

“We are unique in that no other airport north of Albany will offer non-stop flights to Vegas.”

Allegiant will house its aircraft at the airport.

Wheeler said the ground staff will undergo training to service the larger jets, but no new jobs are expected to be created at the airport by the new destination.

City of Plattsburgh Mayor Donald Kasprzak said the flights to Las Vegas, a world-class resort known for its casinos and lavish entertainment, will fill a growing demand.

“This is another step in the right direction for Plattsburgh and the region,” he said.

“We continue to grow, and we look forward to even more announcements like this in the future.”
