Revised Fairfield Inn plan approved

(Continued)

Town Supervisor Bernie Bassett said he’s pleased the developers plan to move forward with the project this year after it has been in the works for several years.

“Having a Marriott and a Hilton (Hampton Inn) franchise in the area is good for travelers,” he said.

Bassett said visitors often base their lodging decisions on membership in a certain rewards program, so the new hotel could attract even more people to the region.

The project is another positive sign for the local economy, he said.
