Twinstate to receive Good Scout Award

PLATTSBURGH — The Boy Scouts of America Twin Rivers Council will honor Twinstate Technologies with the 2013 Adirondack District Good Scout Award on Tuesday, Oct. 29.

The award recognizes an individual or organization that exemplifies the ideals of the Boy Scouts of America Scout Oath and Law and demonstrates community service.

Recognition will be presented to the leaders of Twinstate Technologies, siblings Devi Currier Momot, CEO and president; Dawn Juneau, vice president of administration; and Clark Currier, vice president of operations.

The event will be held at the West Side Ballroom in Plattsburgh with the reception at 6 p.m., followed by the dinner at 7.

Tickets to the event cost $100 per person or $150 per couple and are available by calling Shirley O’Connell at 563-8450.

This is the first time the award will be presented to multiple organizational leaders who are members of the same family.

“Devi Currier Momot, Dawn Juneau and Clark Currier, through their broad-reaching community spirit, generosity and acts of kindness, embody the ideals of the Good Scout Award,” according to a news release from the scouting organization.

Twinstate Technologies is a family-owned, woman-owned business enterprise.

“Supporting the communities where we do business is a fundamental part of our company culture,” the siblings said in a joint statement.

“We recognize the contributions the Boy Scouts of America make to communities throughout the country and are proud to be recipients of this prestigious award by the Twin Rivers Council.”

The Twin Rivers Council provides Boy Scouts of America programs to 13 counties in northeastern New York, 

Twinstate, headquartered in its original community of Morrisonville, also has offices in Albany, Colchester, Vt., and Concord, N.H.
