New associate

PLATTSBURGH -- PrimeLink has announced the hiring of a new sales associate, Jill Carey, who brings years of experience in telecommunications and sales knowledge to the PrimeLink team.

Carey will be instrumental in the development of new customer business as well as being PrimeLink's client-relation specialist. She will be working closely with PrimeLink business customers, discussing the future and current needs of the client's company and how PrimeLink can assist them in their growth. She is committed to identifying new business opportunities and assisting in the expansion and development of new PrimeLink products and services that customers may demand as a result of new growth.

Realtors honored

PLATTSBURGH -- Sherrill Payant and Tricia Hendrix-Miner with All Seasons Realty have been awarded the Seniors Real Estate Specialist designation by the Seniors Real Estate Specialist Council of the National Association of Realtors.

Sherrill and Tricia join more than 16,000 real-estate professionals in North America who have earned the designation. All were required to successfully complete a comprehensive course in understanding the needs, considerations and goals of real-estate buyers and sellers aged 55 and older.

The SRES Council, founded in 2007, is the world's largest association of real-estate professionals focusing specifically on representing senior clients in real-estate transactions. There are more than 16,000 active members of the organization world-wide. The National Association of Realtors is America's largest trade association, representing more than 1.3 million members involved in all aspects of the residential and commercial real-estate industries.

Habitat volunteers

PLATTSBURGH -- Adirondack Young Professionals (ADK YP) would like to invite all members and nonmembers to participate in the Habitat for Humanity Volunteer Day.

Due to factors beyond Habitat's control, they are in need of volunteers to finish their sixth house before winter weather sets in.

The ADK YP will be at their Keeseville house on Hill Street on Saturday, Oct., 18, in the hopes they can allow the residents to move in before winter. The work day will begin at 9 a.m.
