The Laurentian Chapter of the Adirondack Mountain Club is hosting ADK’s Spring Outing 2013 in Potsdam on June 14 through 16.
The event on the SUNY Potsdam campus will include a range of full-day outdoor trips Saturday, June 15, with shorter offerings both Friday and Sunday.
Paddling trips will make their way across the Saranac Lakes using locks instead of portages. Road cycling will include strenuous, hilly routes in the Adirondack foothills as well as an easy tour through Amish country near Heuvelton. Mountain bikers can try out the trails in Downerville State Forest.
All are invited to participate whether they are ADK members or not. Registration — at $25 per person, with additional charges for housing in dorms on campus, barbecue dinner and banquet — closes June 5.
Further information, including online registration, can be found at www.adklaurentian.org/springouting2013. For more information or a printed brochure and registration form, contact Tom Ortmeyer at (315) 244-3707.
