PLATTSBURGH — Commencement at Clinton Community College will take place at 6 tonight in the William H. Forrence Center gymnasium at the school.
A total 323 students are eligible for graduation, and 337 dual certificates and degrees will be awarded.
More than 80 students will be graduating summa cum laude, magna cum laude or cum laude, a press release said.
The class of 2013 valedictorian and student speaker is Nicholas Zagrodzki, an adult learner from Peru, who will graduate with a 4.0 GPA and a degree in business administration.
The salutatorian is Eric Vancour, a criminal-justice major from Lacolle, Quebec. He also has a 4.0 GPA.
Two Clinton Community College employees will receive Chancellor’s Awards. Angela Barnaby from the math faculty will be recognized for Excellence in Teaching. Wendy Grossmann from the Counseling Department will receive the Chancellor’s Award for Excellence in Professional Service.
The ceremony is open to the public.
