Ryan Kirkpatrick has been admitted into the Sigma Beta Delta International Honor Society in recognition of his high scholastic achievement in business, management and administration. Kirkpatrick is a 2008 graduate of Plattsburgh High School and will be entering his senior year at Liberty University in Lynchburg, Va., in the fall. He is the son of Steve and Joanne Farrell of Plattsburgh.

Georgianna Rickard, daughter of Buzzy and Anne Rickard of Lake Placid, has been selected to participate in the prestigious New York State Summer School of the Arts School of Orchestral Studies. She will be performing on the violin in this program which, allows students the opportunity to study with members of the world-renowned Philadelphia Orchestra. Students in the program will be residing at Skidmore College for four weeks during July and August. The culminating student performance will occur at the outdoor amphitheater of the famed Saratoga Performing Arts Center. Rickard began playing the violin at age 6. She attended the Suzuki Violin Institute for many summers at Ithaca College and has attended music camp at the Eastman School of Music, Southern Maine String Academy and the Summer Youth Music program in New Hampshire. In addition to attending the School of Orchestral Studies this summer, Rickard will be attending Crane Youth Music for her third summer and will be studying piano. She has been taking piano lessons with Debbie Fitts for 11 years and for two years from Dr. Kathryn Koscho at the Crane School of Music.

Megan K. McCullough has been named to the Dean's List at William Smith College (Geneva, NY) for the spring semester 2011. This distinction is bestowed upon those students of each class whose cumulative grade point average is 3.50 or higher and have completed four full credit courses for the academic semester. McCullough is the daughter of Mark and Deena McCullough of Plattsburgh, granddaughter of Rod and Dodie Giltz of Plattsburgh and a 2010 graduate of Emma Willard School in Troy.
