The Press-Republican events calendar appears every Friday. Be sure submissions reach the Press-Republican newsroom at least one week before the calendar in which they need to appear.
Items should be brief, listing the time, date, place, prices, a contact number and any other essential information.
All items in the calendar must be open to the public.

Adirondack Mountain Club Algonquin Chapter 65th Anniversary. 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. Town Hall, Point au Roche State Park, Beekmantown, parking at Deep Bay. Bring own place setting and beverage, items to grill and a dish or dessert to share.
Parents’ Night Out. 6 to 9 p.m. Nazarene Church, 187 Broad Street, Plattsburgh. Ages infant through sixth grade. Pizza, gym games, crafts and more. Sneakers required. Register at 561-1960.
Civilian Conservation Corps Reunion. 2 p.m. Clinton County Historical Museum, 98 Ohio Ave., Plattsburgh. Sharing of stories and pictures to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the founding of the CCC. Author and historian Marty Podskoch will give a PowerPoint presentation. CCC alumni, along with family and friends, are encouraged to attend and share their own stories of camps in New York and other states. Podskoch will be signing his new book, “Adirondack Civilian Conservation Corps Camps: Its History, Memories and Legacy.”
First Weekend events. 5 to 7 p.m. Downtown Plattsburgh. Free family art activity, flag mono-printing, North Country Cultural Center Arts Center lawn; free demonstrations, Plattsburgh Yarn & Gifts; free admission to portrait collection, Kent-Delord House Museum; music by Giovani Bucci, Cheechako Taco; music by Ben Bright and also Keene Central students, NCCCA Arts Center; 7 p.m., Greater Adirondack Ghost and Tour Company’s tour of Barracks and Old Post Cemetery; and 9 p.m., Ghost and Tour Company’s tour of Old Roman Catholic Cemetery on South Platt Street. Some events charge. Attend events tonight and receive 10 percent discounts to be used at certain downtown businesses on Saturday, June 8.
