Jordyn Danforth has been awarded the Alice K. Lewis Scholarship Award by the Delta Kappa Gamma Society. Danforth plans to be a physics teacher and received a check for $1,000 toward her education.
Nathan J. Bull, son of Carlton and Sheila Bull of West Chazy, was named to the Dean’s List at Cornell University for the spring semester, earning a 4.0 GPA. He is employed as a resort manager at Walt Disney World in Orlando, Fla.
Michael J. Seeber graduated from Hartwick College, Oneonta, with a bachelor of arts degree in business administration and concentrations in theater and philosophy. He was named to the Dean’s List for the spring semester. While at Hartwick, he was president of the Cardboard Alley Players Theater Club and acted in numerous college play productions, as well as for the Oneonta Orpheus Theater Company. He was director of several plays, including “God (A Play)” and “Criminal Minds.” Seeber continues his Hartwick College affiliation via a business internship with the college Theater Department.
Rachel Cedrone Bell, daughter of Roland F. Bell and Coral Cedrone Bell of Chevy Chase View, Md., and granddaughter of Olive Christine Bell of Plattsburgh, has been awarded the doctor of law degree by the University of Chicago Law School. During her time at the school, she interned with the Navy Judge Advocate General’s Corps and volunteered with the Legal Assistance Foundation of Metropolitan Chicago. Bell also worked for the Fitzpatrick Cella Harper Scinto law firm as a summer associate and the Global IP Law Group as a law clerk. Having resided in Chicago for the duration of her studies, she has relocated to Milwaukee for a position as an associate with the intellectual-property practice group of Reinhart, Boerner Van Dueren Law Firm.
Kaleb Sample, son of James and Denise Sample of Ellenburg Center, was named to the President’s List at SUNY Canton for the spring semester. He has also been awarded the SUNY Canton 2013 Honor Convocation. He majors in construction technology management and has returned to Canton to continue his studies.
Nicholas Anthony Napolitan, a junior majoring in political science and philosophy at the University of Rochester, has been named to the Dean’s List for academic achievement. A resident of Peru, he is the son of David and Debbie Napolitan and a graduate of New Hampton School in New Hampton, N.H.
