Schuyler Falls sets hearing on 2014 budget Thursday

MORRISONVILLE — The Town of Schuyler Falls preliminary budget for 2014 is available for viewing at the Town Clerk’s Office at the Town Hall, 997 Mason St., Morrisonville, during regular business hours.

The Town Council will hold a public hearing on the spending plan at 4:45 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 7.

With a 3 percent increase over 2013, the proposed salaries of the following town officers are: supervisor, $16,495; councilors, four at $6,018.50 each for a total $24,074; town justice, two at 11,749 each for a total $23,498; town clerk/tax collector, $25,721; and highway superintendent, $62,016.

A special meeting will follow the hearing to adopt the 2014 budget and to hear anything else that might come before the Town Council.

Both sessions are open to the public.

PSU Council to meet Monday

PLATTSBURGH — The SUNY Plattsburgh College Council will hold its next meeting at 1 p.m. Monday, Nov. 4, in the Alumni Conference Room in Angell College Center.

The meeting will feature a presentation on the Global Education Office by Cody McCabe, associate director for international enrollment services.

It will also include reports on academic and business affairs; community and government relations; facilities and capital planning and institutional advancement.

The meeting is open to the public.

Peru Town Council meeting date changed to Monday

PERU — The Peru Town Council will meet Monday, Nov. 4, instead of Thursday, Nov. 7.

The meeting will be held at 7 p.m. at the Peru Town Hall and is open to all.

Air Force squadron-patch pictures sought for mosaic

PLATTSBURGH — Chazy High School students who are creating a mosaic for Plattsburgh International Airport need some help.

They need photos of all the Plattsburgh Air Force Base squadron patches from the year 1955 to 1995 to be sure they are all represented on the 20-by-8-foot mosaic.

People who have squadron patches are asked to call Bucky Seiden at 569-9991 or email images of the patches to pafbmosaic@gmail.com.
