CCRS Board to discuss computer infrastructure

CHAZY — The Chazy Central Rural School Board will hold its regular board meeting at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 8.

Topics of discussion will be the capital project, computer infrastructure, substitutes, policies and fundraising. 

The public is invited to attend.

Keeseville roadwork planned for Tuesday

KEESEVILLE — Kent Street between Vine and Division streets in Keeseville will be closed from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday as crews mill and repave the road.

Motorists are asked to use Clinton and Church streets as alternate routes on that day.

Battle of Valcour’s 237th anniversary coming up

PLATTSBURGH — Peter Guibord will speak at the upcoming 118th Memorial Service commemorating the 237th anniversary of the 1776 Battle of Valcour on Lake Champlain.

Hosted by the Saranac Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution at 4:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 11, the event will take place in the Administration Building at Clinton Community College, which sits on the Bluff overlooking the battle site. 

Guibord will focus on Benedict Arnold’s role in the American Revolution prior to the Battle of Valcour. 

The service is free and open to the public.
