PLATTSBURGH — An update on the Max Moore Treehouse and report on the Saranac River Trail Greenway will be presented at a session set for 4 p.m. Tuesday at Plattsburgh City Hall.
The Saranac River Trail Advisory Committee will also give an update on Trail Phase II.
The public is welcome.
Clinton Co. Legislature to meet Wednesday
PLATTSBURGH — The Clinton County Legislature will meet at 7 p.m. Wednesday in the Legislative Chambers on the second floor of the Clinton County Government Center, 137 Margaret St.
Among the resolutions to be acted upon are amending the contract with the Town of Dannemora for full assessment services and authorizing an easement grant with New York State Electric & Gas.
All meetings are open to the public.
Documentary to commemorate colonel’s life
AUSABLE FORKS — The documentary, “Checkertails,” a film by Neil Pughto commemorating the life of Lt. Colonel Gerald B. Edwards, will be shown 6:30 p.m. Monday, free of charge, at the Hollywood Theater, Main Street, Ausable Forks.
Edwards, who died Sept. 6, was a member of the WWII 325th Fighter Group and received numerous medals and honors, among them the Distinguished Flying Cross, during his career in the Air Force.
Willsboro School Board to discuss personnel
WILLSBORO — The Willsboro Central School Board will meet at 6 p.m. Tuesday in the conference room.
Agenda items include personnel.
The public is welcome.
Town of Jay to award stream-bank contract
AUSABLE FORKS — The Jay Town Council will hold a special meeting at 5 p.m. Friday at the Town of Jay Offices, 11 School Lane, AuSable Forks.
The council will review bids for stream-bank restoration at Straight and Bartlett roads what was authorized for bidding on June 13.
It will also review the award recommendation from the engineer and award the contract.
The session is open to the public.
Free library cards till Sept. 30
PLATTSBURGH — There’s still time to sign up for a free library card at Clinton Essex Library System libraries around the North Country.
The initiative, which ends Sept. 30, encourages all students to get a library card so they can access materials, programs and services that support academic achievement.
Coming soon to Plattsburgh Public Library is the program “AskUs 24/7,” which will provide ready access to libraries around the world any time, any day. Students will be able to go to to www.plattsburghlib.org to connect to a live person who can answer reference or last-minute homework questions.
