ROAD TO SUCCESS

Women of Distinction is a nationwide program of Girl Scouts of the USA that recognizes the achievements of women.

“Honorees are awarded for their strength of character, dedicated community service and emphasis on lifelong learning, along with their dedication to fostering self-confidence and leadership skills in others,” a press release said.

“Many women who are leaders in their fields credit Girl Scouts with helping them to build the set of skills that paved their road to success.”

SILENT AUCTION

The dinner is set for 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 26, at the Westside Ballroom, 253 New York Road in Plattsburgh.

Tickets, $50 each or $500 for a table of 10, can be purchased online. The event will include an extensive silent auction with proceeds benefiting Girl Scouts of Northeastern New York.

The event’s presenting Silver Sponsor is the Wal-Mart Foundation; the Trefoil sponsor is Pepsi Bottling.
