Clinton County department heads see salary increases for 2013

County Attorney William Favreau, an appointed position, will get a raise of 3 percent for a salary of $66,950. Rowden said money was taken from the budgeted amount for a backup attorney in case Favreau is not available or there is a conflict.

“He’s always there, and we really haven’t needed a backup, so we took some money from that budget,” Rowden said.

“We get a good bang for our buck with Bill.”

County Clerk John Zurlo and Treasurer Joseph Giroux, both elected, will receive salaries of $59,973, up from $59,379 for a 1 percent increase.

Sheriff David Favro’s salary goes up 1 percent, from $74,832 to $75,580.

County legislators will receive the same pay of $15,000 each, and the chairman will get $17,500, the same as 2012.

Those amounts have not changed since 2002.
