---- — City School Board meeting scheduled

PLATTSBURGH — The Plattsburgh City School Board will meet at 7:30 p.m. Thursday at the Duken Building.

The board will be appointing a Board of Registration and acting on field trips and other personnel and business items.

The meeting is open to the public, and a complete agenda is available on the district website at www.plattscsd.org/BOE.htm.

City sets committee meeting dates for 2013

PLATTSBURGH — The City of Plattsburgh Common Council has set the schedule for its new committee meetings, with the first one set for Thursday.

The sessions, which will alternate with regular Common Council meetings, will be held in City Hall Council Chambers at 5 p.m. and are open to the public. Certain councilors will attend each committee meeting.

The schedule is: Jan. 24, Records Committee; Feb. 7, Public Safety; Feb. 21, Community Relations; March 7, Infrastructure; March 21, Records; April 4, Public Safety; April 18, Community Relations; May 2, Infrastructure; May 16, Records; May 30, Public Safety; June 13, Community Relations; June 27, Infrastructure; July 11, Records; July 25, Public Safety; Aug. 8, Community Relations; Aug. 22, Infrastructure; Sept. 5, Records; Sept. 19, Public Safety; Oct. 3, Community Relations; Oct. 17, Infrastructure; Oct. 30, Records; Nov. 14, Public Safety; Nov. 26, Community Relations; Dec. 12, Infrastructure; and Dec. 26, final budget session.

Meetings set for Peru Central Budget Committee

PERU — For the past seven years, Peru Central School District has organized a Budget Advisory Committee that has served to inform and promote school-community discussion concurrent with the district’s budget development process.

The committee typically meets three or four times to develop an understanding of revenues and expenditures, components of a balanced budget and particular challenges that face the district. Traditionally, the committee has formulated recommendations for board consideration to assist the board and administration.

The Budget Advisory Committee is scheduled to meet four Thursdays, starting this week and then Feb. 14, 28 and March 7, beginning at 6 p.m.

In addition to these informational sessions, committee members will be invited to share their recommendations with the School Board on Tuesday, March 19, during a public budget development workshop.

NACS Board invites public to budget meetings

ELLENBURG — The Northern Adirondack School Board will meet at 5:30 p.m. Monday, Jan. 28, in the District Office conference room to begin a series of public budget work sessions. 

An executive session associated with the performance history of particular employees and collective negotiations will take place at approximately 6:30 p.m. The board will reconvene for public-session business at about 7 p.m. for general business, which will include a briefing on school safety and an update on the EXCEL capital project.

Keeseville Village Board working on budget

KEESEVILLE — The Keeseville Village Board will hold a special meeting to begin preparation of the 2013 budget.

The meeting, which is open to all, will be held at 8:30 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 30, in the Village Board Room, 58 Liberty St., Keeseville.
