Details released on string of Franklin County burglaries

(Continued)

He said in October, just before the anniversary of the homicide, that it is believed Marie’s killer is someone who had been at the home in the past and knew the couple. And he said the overall investigation focused on who in the county could or would have burglarized residences around the time she was murdered.

Michael is currently serving time in state prison for 10 burglaries. He was sentenced last October to seven concurrent eight-year terms for second-degree burglary, five years of post-release supervision and three concurrent terms of three and a half to seven years for the other burglaries, four years for the marijuana possession charge and three and a half to seven years for third-degree criminal possession of a weapon.

In 1997, he was convicted on 20 burglary charges and sentenced to state prison for a seven-to-20-year term for third-degree burglary. He was released on parole in 2008.

APPEARANCE TICKETS

Golden, O’Keefe and Gervais voluntarily reported to State Police in October and were given appearance tickets for the individual towns for each of the charges, according to the indictment. They are under the supervision of the County Probation Department.

Golden is charged with fifth-degree conspiracy for her alleged involvement in eight of the burglaries.

Gervais is charged with third-degree criminal trespass and fifth-degree conspiracy in an April 21, 2012, burglary of Tony’s Auto Sales in Bangor.
