Village of Champlain cancels Zoning Board meeting

CHAMPLAIN — The regular meeting of the Village of Champlain Zoning Board of Appeals scheduled for today has been canceled. 

The next session is set for 5 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 13, at the Village Office.

Meetings are open to the public.

Chazy Fire District Board establishes meeting schedule

CHAZY — The Chazy Fire District Board of Fire Commissioners will meet the first Thursday of each month during 2013.

Meetings will take place at 7 p.m. at the Chazy Fire Station, 9666 Route 9.

Board meetings are open to the public.

Peru Water District under boil-water order for three days

PERU — A boil-water order is in place today for part of the Peru Water District.

The order covers Calkins Road, Barney Downs Road, Reservoir Road, Morgan Drive, Summit, Twin Creek, Oakdale, Pinewood and Old Town Road.

The Health Department issued the order due to an expected loss of pressure caused by a planned shutdown to tie in to a new water line.

The boil-water order will be in place for three days as a precaution.

Town of Dannemora sets special meeting

DANNEMORA — The Dannemora Town Council will hold a special meeting at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 15, at the Dannemora Town Hall to discuss ongoing construction at the Town Garage/Town Hall and a position in the Highway Department. 

The meeting is open to all.

NCCS Board schedules meeting

CHAMPLAIN — The Northeastern Clinton Central School Board will meet at 5:15 p.m. Friday, Jan. 11, at the District Office.

The board will vote to go into executive session to discuss the employment history of a particular Civil Service Employees Association employee.

Plattsburgh City School Board meets Thursday

PLATTSBURGH — The Plattsburgh City School Board of Education will meet at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 10, at the Duken building.

The board will discuss disposing of technology equipment, awarding contracts for surplus property, reading policy on Medicaid compliance program and other personnel and business issues.
