Local woman charged with selling drugs

PLATTSBURGH — Another name in last week’s 32-person drug bust has been revealed by State Police.

Starr A. Dubuque’s indictment was sealed last week when the Clinton County District Attorney’s Office, State Police, Plattsburgh City Police and other law-enforcement agencies released the names of 29 people who had been arrested since November on felony drug charges.

The 40-year-old Plattsburgh woman was taken into custody Monday on a warrant charging her with two counts of fourth-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance and two counts of fifth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, both felonies.

The charges were the result of the sale and possession of hydrocodone pills, according to State Police.

Dubuque was arraigned Wednesday before Judge Kevin Ryan in Clinton County Court and remanded to the Clinton County Jail in lieu of $5,000 bail or $10,000 bond.

As of Thursday, Dubuque had not posted bail, according to the Clinton County Sheriff’s Department.

Two more indictments remain sealed, pending arrests.
