The Plattsburgh resident who was feeding information to the British during the War of 1812 was Joel Ackley, not as described in the article published Monday. The man named in that, Peter Sailly, was a successful businessman in the community, served as a supply agent for troops during the war and was a Clinton County judge and member of the New York State Assembly.
