Rouses Point plans Revitalization Committee

ROUSES POINT — The Village of Rouses Point will hold an informational meeting Thursday evening on formation of a community Revitalization Committee.

The intent is to bring businesses, community groups, residents and Village Board members together to coordinate Rouses Point’s economic-revitalization effort.

This group will provide essential advice to the Village Board as Rouses Point charts a new course for the future, organizers said in a news release.

All Rouses Point residents and business owners are invited to join the Revitalization Committee, which will meet on a monthly basis to share information, coordinate efforts, assist in the implementation of key projects and prioritize future actions.

The meeting will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 1, in Halstead Hall of the Civic Center to discuss the goals and operation of the committee. The meeting is open to all.

The committee plans to start meeting on the first Thursday of every month, starting in January.
