Moriah School Board changes meeting date
MORIAH — The Moriah Central School Board regular monthly meeting scheduled for today has been changed to Thursday, Jan. 23.
Set for 6 p.m., it will take place in the High School library.
Agenda items include a review of financial reports, personnel discussion and election of a BOCES Board member.

SLCS Board to discuss art, music, athletics cost
SARANAC LAKE — The Saranac Lake Central School Board will meet from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 22, in Petrova Elementary School library.
Agenda items include a review of the cost for the athletics, music and art programs; an update on state aid and a capital-improvement plan report.
The public is welcome.
Clinton Community College Board meets today
PLATTSBURGH — The Clinton Community College Board of Trustees will meet at 5 p.m. today in the board room of the George Moore Academic and Administrative Building on campus.
It is open to the public.
Westport Central School Board to meet Thursday
WESTPORT — At a special session set for 8 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 23, the Westport Central School Board will vote for a CVES Board member.
All School Board meetings are open to the public.
CCRS Board to hold special session
CHAZY — The Chazy Central Rural School Board will hold a special session at 6 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 23.
Topics of discussion will include the CVES Board member election and negotiations.
The public may attend.
Peru Council sets hearing on dog law
PERU — The Peru Town Council will hold a public hearing on Local Law No. 1, the Dog Licensing and Control Law of the Town of Peru, at 6:30 p.m. Monday, Jan. 27.
The changes reflect revisions in the State Agriculture and Market law, according to Town Clerk Kathleen Flynn.
The regular council meeting will follow at 7 p.m.
Both sessions are open to the public.
NACS schedules budget-input board sessions
ELLENBURG — Northern Adirondack Central School District will hold a series of budget sessions to gather information “to develop a fiscally responsible 2014-15 budget,” according to a release.
These sessions will be held outside of formal School Board meetings, from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Feb. 10 and 24 and March 17 and also 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. on March 31, if necessary, in the District Office conference room.
The meetings are open to all.
Jay/Black Brook Youth Commission seeks volunteers
JAY — The towns of Jay and Black Brook are looking to fill vacancies on the Jay/Black Brook Youth Commission Board of Directors.
These are volunteer positions selected by the two town councils that serve as liaisons to the towns and assist in providing the youth of the two communities with recreational activities.
