TUPPER LAKE — On Tuesday, April 23, the Tupper Lake Fire Department and the Village of Tupper Lake will hold a final public forum on building a combined fire/police facility.
Voters to the polls on May 7 to decide whether the village should bond for up to $3.2 million on the estimated $4.5 million project.
The session, set for 7 p.m., take place downstairs at the Goff Memorial Library. All residents of Tupper Lake are encouraged to attend.
“The Fire Department and the Police Department are experiencing a variety of building issues and safety concerns related to OSHA regulations, NFPA standards and federal guidelines,” a press release said from the village said. “Please come to the Forum to learn about this very important project. The best votes are the informed votes.”
Beekmantown School Board sets special session
BEEKMANTOWN — The Beekmantown Central School Board will hold a special meeting at 6:15 p.m. Tuesday, April 23, in the Middle/High School library at 6:15 pm.
Agenda items include: adoption of the 2013-2014 proposed budget and the property tax report card, acceptance of petitions for members to the School Board and acceptance of the Memorandum of Agreement with the Beekmantown Support Staff Supervisors.

PLATTSBURGH — The Clinton County Legislature will hold a regular session at 7 p.m. Wednesday, April 24, in the Legislative Chambers, 137 Margaret St.
Among the resolutions to be acted upon are the appointment of the commissioner of Social Services; authorization for the purchasing agent to solicit bids again for the transportation of the optical scan voting machines, ballot-marking devices and other election-related supplies and equipment; and authorization solicitation of bids for the sale of structures at the former Clinton County Airport.
The meeting is open to the public.
