No challengers in Port Henry election

PORT HENRY — Three incumbents are running unopposed in this year’s Village of Port Henry election.

Running for new two-year terms are Mayor Ernest Guerin and Trustees Matthew Brassard and Staley Rich.

Guerin is a sales associate at Knight Automotive in Plattsburgh, while Rich is a media specialist at Moriah Central School, and Brassard works as a direct-support professional for Mountain Lake Services of Port Henry.

The election is from noon to 9 p.m. Tuesday, March 19, at the village firehouse on Church Street.

The village also recently hired Cathy Law Davenport as its new treasurer. She replaces Janelle Jurkiewic, who retired.
