Saranac begins superintendent search

Parents and other district residents who wish to become members of the stakeholder committee should contact Saranac Central District Clerk Linda Tedford at 565-5612 or by Friday, Dec. 21.

Following second-round interviews of superintendent candidates, the board will host a public forum at which the candidates will introduce themselves and share their visions for the district.

The board will meet again with King to discuss the search during the School Board meeting on Tuesday, Feb. 12. The board meeting was originally planned for Feb. 5, but was rescheduled.

King also served as the district’s search consultant in 2005, when the board last sought a new superintendent of schools and, ultimately, chose Cringle for the job.

“We were here in 2005, when we all worked together, and we ended up with a great superintendent, and we can all work together again and hopefully do the same thing,” King told board members at the recent meeting.
