Outerwear collection needs donations

MORRISONVILLE — The winter-outerwear collection in Schuyler Falls is continuing, and there is a “desperate need” for children’s items, Town of Schuyler Falls receptionist Sheila Martin said.

Ski pants are always in high demand, she said, but coats, hats, gloves, boots and other items are much welcome as well.

“Yesterday, (outerwear) went out of here in armsful,” she said, adding, “If we could get a glove fairy, it would be wonderful.”

Clothing can be dropped off at the Town Hall, 997 Mason Road in Morrisonville, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Thursday, or under the overhang at the entrance other times.

Those in need are invited to stop in to see what’s available during office hours or call 563-1129.

This is the 11th year the clothing collection has taken place.

“There is a lot of need,” Martin said.
