PLATTSBURGH — The 2013 road-construction season is continuing.

Crews ask that motorists use caution when driving through work zones, where fines are doubled for speeding.

Here’s a look at the major projects around Clinton, Essex and Franklin counties:

Canaan Road, Mooers: Crews are paving from Route 11 to Clinton Mills Road. Motorists should expect some delays.

Route 11, Ellenburg: Crews are resurfacing the road from the Clinton/Ellenburg line to the Great Chazy River. Traffic is reduced to one lane in both directions. Work is expected to be completed by 6 p.m. Thursday.

Route 190, Ellenburg: Crews are paving the connector between routes 190 and 11 and Plank Road. Traffic is reduced to one lane in both directions. Work is expected to be completed by 6 p.m. Wednesday

Lake Shore Road, Chazy: Crews are rehabilitating the bridge over the Little Chazy River immediately south of Lapointe Road. The road is closed, and a detour is in place. Work is expected to be completed by Labor Day.

Route 190, Altona: Crews are repairing washout damage from Devil’s Den Road to Duquette Road. The road is reduced to one lane. Traffic is controlled by flaggers.

Route 374, Cadyville: Crews are repairing washout damage between Trudeau and Church roads. Traffic is reduced to one lane.

Interstate 87, Plattsburgh: The northbound and southbound lanes have been reduced to one lane from Route 3 to Exit 39. The work-zone speed is 45 mph. A signed detour is in place for motorists trying to use the Exit 38 northbound on-ramp, which is closed. There are lane restrictions of 16 feet in the southbound lane and 18 feet in the northbound lane. One-lane traffic will remain until early October.

  • Teens trading naked selfies for mugshots
